These are really interesting accessories for the new cameras. Read their specifications carefully and you'll understand why most of them are steps ahead for Pentax.

Battery Grip

The optional Battery Grip for the new SLR's, powered by four AA-sized batteries, includes a shutter release button for vertical position shooting (also DOF preview allowed) and some more controls, like the "hold" slider (for locking the shutter release for time exposure). A grid of gold plated contacts is provided for data exchange between the camera and the grip.

Cable Switch

Simple, single-action connection/removal mechanism. A choice of short and long type. Apparently, there is no lock mechanism.

Multi-function Cable Switch

Including time preset function for interval and bulb photography. It can also set camera modes.

Dedicated auto flash

A maximum guide number of 36 (at ISO100/m). Usable with the new prototype cameras with synchronization at all shutter speeds and for wireless remote-control operation.
