CURRICULUM VITAE
Andrea
Bontempi was born in Chiari (Brescia) in 1962. He earns a clarinet degree at
the conservatory "Antonio Vivaldi" in Novara, under the guidance of
master Fabrizio Meloni (first clarinet of the theatre "Alla Scala" in
Milan).
In the same period he starts his studies of composition, harmony and
counterpoint, educated by masters Stefano Lazzoni and Renato Dionisi. Then, led
by master Roberto Di Marino, he excellently earns a band instrumentation degree
at the music academy "Evaristo Felice Dall'Abaco" in Verona.
As a clarinet teacher, he taught at the musical academy "S.Cecilia" in
S.Angelo Lodigiano (Lodi) and then at the music school "G.B.Pedersoli"
in Chiari (BS), where he still teaches.
Intererested in music teaching,
he attended several workshops, like the didactic upgrade seminar about "The
didactic work by Paul Hindemith at the present time" in Brescia, promoted
by the musical education center "Gioietta Paoli Padova".
Nowadays he spends his vivid artistic activity as arranger, composer and
director of important wind and chorus ensembles; conducting many concerts in
Italy and abroad.
As a clarinet soloist, he performs in various and important chamber formations
(duo, trio and quartette). He is a music teacher at the secondary school.
