I started switching her to adult food a couple of weeks before her first birthday so she was fully on adult food by the time she was one. the same brand and same type (Lamb & Rice) of adult food as puppy food so that may have helped

If it appears they are going to be weight gainers, they get switched to adult food earlier. If they have a difficult time getting to proper weight, I keep them on puppy food a bit longer. All adults at DoxiePets eat once daily.
