The
Republic of Coast Rica is situated in Centramerica; it confines to the
north with Nicaragua and to south with Panama; to east it is wet from the
Atlantic ocean and to west from the ocean Pacific. Independent from 1821,
the Coast Rica is a presidential Republic. Executive power is practiced
by the President of the Repubblica,eletto to direct popular suffraggio
every 4 years, and from a presidential Bathroom from him named; legislative
power is up to the Legislative meeting. The country is crossed for
all of its length by a volcanic cordillera, that lowers in the center to
form the ample depression of the Meseta Centrale, which welcomes the three
quarters of the population. The coasts of the Pacific are rather articulated;
the principal port is " Puerto Caldera ", next to the city' of Puntarenas,

of the Costa Rica don't introduce the characteristic lines of the native,
in how much the majority of the 3.200.000 inhabitants they are descending
of European families, mainly Spanish and Italian. The road net is
present and efficient in the big part of the country. The costaricensis
can surprise the tourist with elaborate dish whose typical ingredients
are universal, as rice and beans, this dish is called " Rooster Pinto".
Another typical dish of Costa Rica is the " base flour tamal " of minced
corn on which is set a stuffing of rice, meat of pig and chicken. This
is wound in leaves of platan and it boils before serving. The families
have the habit to especially cook this dish to Christmas. To sweeten whatever
palate is not able macare the biscuits of coconut, the rice with the milk
and the salads of fruit. A fundamental thing that cannot be lost
is the coffee. In Coast Rica has gotten used to drink a " cafecito" black,
or with breakfast milk; to half forenoon, after the lunch and in the afternoon
