Phrenology QUACK HELMET and apparatus - UNIQUE !!!

Exceptional and rare set for phrenological electrogalvanic treatments.  This set would fit perfectly in the laboratory of the Doctor Frankestein, it’s composed by a wooden box that in the lid contains the panel of control: here we find a galvanometer, a rheostat and a polarity inverter, everything in good conditions (some oxidation as usual on these devices) and possibly in working condition (I’m sorry but I can’t find any volunteer to test it properly …;-). 

The most interesting part lived in the box, where you find three “dry piles”, originals and obviously unloaded after all this time. Over a circular wood support (please note the delightful bronze foot of lion), green velvet lined, you find an outstanding brass helmet. 

The helmet comes with 13 disks in isolating material where screw the adjustable contact electrodes, and to which the two wires in exit from the panel of control connect themselves (please observe the two manipulators in original wood). The thirteen electrodes rest in the circular base when not used.  A pretty beautiful screw shaped as acorn stops the helmet on its support for the transportation. Everything presented a normal spread oxidation that partially was removed. The box presents some minor scratches and splinters, but without importance. The key of the lock went loser in the time.  

This very rare electromedical device, from beginning of the twentieth century, was produced by the firm “Energo” of Turin (Italy), and it's the first model I recover of this type. Undoubtedly an exceptional museum piece and a formidable "conversation piece" !!!
