Il nuovo disco in uscita a fine aprile per Midfinger Records, sarà distrubuito nei negozi in tutta Italia da Venus. L'intero booklet del cd, è stato realizzato interamente a mano dalla mente geniale e 'visionaria' dell'artista incisore marchigiano Lanfranco Lanari e perfettamente si adatta alle sfumature sognanti e psichedeliche del disco. Lanfranco Lanari ha iniziato ad incidere nel 1983 usando le tecniche dell'acquaforte, dell'acquatinta e della puntasecca; è presente nel II° e III° volume del Repertorio degli Incisori Italiani curato dal Gabinetto delle Stampe Antiche e Moderne. BTOD presents: "Astray - Alone" (digi-MCD) ASTRAY is a very young Finnish band, founded by Markku P. on spring 1998. The music style of ASTRAY is melodic, aggressive and atmospheric dark-metal. Because there is nothing to tell about history of ASTRAY, here is a short description about the background of the founder-member: Markku P. started to play drums somewhere in 1987 and founded deathrash band named "Execution" on autumn '90. Music style changed into brutal and melodic death metal pretty soon, and the name changed into "Hallucatus" in the end of '93. Two bad-sounding demo tapes were recorded with the homestudio-equipment and spread for a few hundred copies. The band split-up on summer '95 because of studies (members moved around in Finland, far away from each other). When the band split-up, Markku bought his own guitar in June '95 and started to do songs just for fun. Markku recorded and sent songs for his penpal, Vesa Moilanen, who has been singing for varying death/black bands. Vesa was very interested in the songs and started to do lyrics & vocals although there was not even any plans of founding a band. Markku played alone till spring '98, when he thought it would be nice to play with a band again. Markku asked Vesa to join as a vocalist and he was immediately interested. Pekka Majaniemi joint to band as a rhythm guitarist, and Janne Ahtonen as a bassist. A bit later also drummer has found and so we started to play together (Markku played lead guitars at that time). Music style was melodic, heavy metal influenced death metal. Unfortunately we saw after a few practices that the drummer is not motivated and skillful enough to play with us, so the band was frozen for a couple of months. www.btod.com |

Gli Hyades, thrash metal band lombarda U.S. style, annunciano l'uscita dal gruppo del bassista Roberto Orlando, avvenuta in modo amichevole e per motivi esclusivamente musicali. Le date programmate non subiranno comunque variazioni. La band esprime i più sentiti ringraziamenti a Rob per tutto quanto fatto assieme in questo tempo, e gli augura buona fortuna per la sua futura carriera musicale. Al momento gli Hyades sono alla ricerca di un nuovo bassista, in vista soprattutto delle registrazioni per il primo full lenght, fissate per il prossimo autunno. The other tracks of the soundtrack will be composed and directed by Fabian "Necros", the keyboard player of the band. The film release is planned for September 2004. The new Cd by Theatres des Vampires is the most orchestral ever produced by the band. For this reason Theatres des Vampires used several musicians and vocalists to create the macabre and grottesque atmosphere, near the Tim Burton's "Nightmare before Christimass" feeling. The new album will be a complete musical change of the band, that leaves definitively the black metal atmosphere and produces a Symphonic Gothic Horror album. The album will feature also a bonus track, the remixed version of "La Danse Macabre du Vampire", already released in the 2002 "Suicide Vampire" album and today remixed in a brand new way. |

Gli italianissimi thrash-deathsters Sothis, dopo gli ottimi responsi ottenuti per la release del loro secondo demo 'Instinct', che ha permesso alla band di suonare dal vivo con bands del calibro di Shaman, Death SS, Lacuna Coil, Konkhra, Eldritch, Undertakers, Centurion, Theatres Des Vampires, Natron, ecc.., sono lieti di annunciare la loro entrata ufficiale nella scuderia della label capitolina Temple Of Noise Records, capitanata da Christian Ice, figura di spicco nel panorama metal italiano già per la qualità delle sue produzioni targate Temple Of Noise Studios. Ed è proprio da qui, come è stato per il suo predecessore 'Instinct', che uscirà il debut album ufficiale dei Sothis, il quale si chiamerà 'Fusion' e si preannuncia come un nuovo cambio di pelle per la band italiana. Il genere proposto infatti si discosterà definitivamente dai lidi prettamente thrash metal toccati dal primo lavoro 'The Seven Lies' (2000) e già parzialmente accantonati con 'Instinct', per raggiungere una potente fusione tra le innegabili radici thrash, la potenza del death e accattivanti sfumature hard rock, il tutto interpretato secondo un'ottica decisamente peculiare e ulteriormente maturata rispetto ai precedenti lavori, ma sempre inequivocabilmente "Sothis". I Sothis informano inoltre di aver appena terminato le registrazioni di 'Fusion', e che la tracklist, per il momento ancora provvisioria, è la seguente: Beyond The Bound, The Purifier, Blood Effect SSX, Dust, Skeletal Presence, R.
