SANTA BARBARA IN ITALY

In Italy Santa Barbara had a very hard life. It was aired for the first time in 1990 at 6.45 pm on RAIUNO(the principal italian channel)and it had a moderate success. But it was interrupted in Jenuary 1991(when C.C was in a coma). According to the journals it had to restart in January but it restarted in June at 3.00pm on another channel of the same network, RAIDUE after another soap, Loving. Besides it restarted with old episodes and so we had to wait to see the new episodes for more than a year until February 1992. From that moment on, Santa Barbara increased more and more his audience but just when it had become the second soap in Italy the channel transfered it at 11.00 a.m and then at 10.00a.m. There are a few people to see television at this hour and so "Santa Barbara" lost progressively his audience until its last episode aired on January 1999.
