Diesel Locomotive  General Electric U25C

  

General Electric had an enormous success with these diesel locomotives U 25 C which are the most modern and powerful locomotives produced by the  company, and are used for hauling passenger and goods trains.

The  U 25 C mounts a twin  engine four stroke FDL 16 four stoke.

The prototype was initially used  on the construction site of the Feather River Canyon dam  in California, but production was soon designated for normal rail traffic use.

These locomotives have been bought by many American Railroad companies.
