The book "CONTROL LINE MANUAL" was one of a series written by Mr. Ron Moulton, an English modeler of great reputation in the field.

"A complete review of all methods of controlling model aircraft in circular flight" are the firsts words in the presentation page. It was a relatively big manual, with its 216 pages full of interesting photos of various control line models from all categories.

It was published in the ’60 up to the first ’70 years. Mine – that I describe - was the 1972 edition.

The arguments start with the history, with first experimental, up to all categories of C/L (stunt, speed, team racing, combat, Navy carrier, scale etc.).

Each category is explained in deep and are available drawings of the one time famous models of the category.

As You see in the summary pages, the number of arguments is great and so much number of pages is plenty justified!

The book provides a wealth of information about the C/L field on behalf of the enthusiast for this category that is interested to have an historical point of view.

From the various photos in the book, the one that I like very much and that I desire to share with You, is from the jet model section: the pulse-jet starting. In the photo there is all the thrill of the moment.

Delicious are also the cartoons that are on each chapter.

 My work of restoring, was not so difficult, due the good conditions of the original; the color covers, instead, were more difficult to recreate because seemed to me that the time injury was only concentrated on them and more effort was necessary to erase paper damages and faded colors.
