The book "CONTROL LINE MANUAL" was one of a series written by Mr. Ron Moulton, an English modeler of great reputation in the field. min_COPERTINA_1.jpg (6758 byte)

It was a relatively big manual, with its 216 pages full of interesting photos of various control line models from all categories.

It was published in the ’60 up to the first ’70 years. Mine – that I describe - was the 1972 edition.

min_P_107.jpg (7023 byte) The arguments start with the history, with first experimental, up to all categories of C/L (stunt, speed, team racing, combat, Navy carrier, scale etc.). min_P_108.jpg (7888 byte) min_P_125.jpg (6472 byte) min_P_148.jpg (8233 byte)

min_P_66.jpg (6470 byte) Each category is explained in deep and are available drawings of the one time famous models of the category.

As You see in the summary pages, the number of arguments is great and so much number of pages is plenty justified!                min_P_3.jpg (5422 byte)      min_P_4.jpg (5757 byte)

The book provides a wealth of information about the C/L field on behalf of the enthusiast for this category that is interested to have an historical point of view.

From the various photos in the book, the one that I like very much and that I desire to share with You, is from the jet model section: the pulse-jet starting. In the photo there is all the thrill of the moment. min_P_154.jpg (7827 byte) Delicious are also the cartoons that are on each chapter. min_P_180.jpg (8423 byte)

My work of restoring, was not so difficult, due the good conditions of the original; the color covers, instead, were more difficult to recreate because seemed to me that the time injury was only concentrated on them and more effort was necessary to erase paper damages and faded colors.

I obtained the permission to make some copies to share. So, if there are modelers interested to have this book in reprinted call me and will send a copy. I am not in the business and I am not interested to money, other than the print office reimbursement: I make the money to live with a job in the public/government field. Instead, please share with me (also temporary) Your material, to make me able to increase the bibliography to be published in the site on behalf of the Community.
