A restored book little story

I am interested in the old time model field and in the development of R/C from the origin to the first proportional. For this I collected many magazines and books: some in original, others in electronic scanned form.
From the scanned material, I decided to "restore" an old and - for me - beautiful little publication, dated 1943, dealing the description, study and project for aero model flying boats.

This little book is in the 8,5" X 5" format and has the covers in color, many beautiful old photos of models and drawings in it.
I made the works of scan and correct the images so, obtained a good work, I saved it in a file. Due the need to have a very good readability I scanned in 300 d.p.i. so files are very large.

I desire to have Your judge so I include in this page little parts of the book (click on the images: to lighten the download, I resample to 150 d.p.i. from the originals).

The successive step was to "reprint" some copies to have the book for me as in the original paper form, because the need to return it in my shelves and protect it from the damage of manipulation due the bad condition of pages damaged for the very long time past.

I found a printing-works that converted the files to printed pages with the cover pages in colors as original. To save money, the bookbinder was "home made" but in the respect of size and form as the original.

After all, I think to have bring back to live and old book to permit me a pleasant reading!

I would be happy to share the result of this work to others, so You can temporary download a low resolution PDF file (due space restriction) of the complete little book by clicking     here :
