Villa
Cadè is often named in the chronicles of Parma. In 1280,
it is said that in the village of Cadè Parmigiani began
building a castle that was called the castle of the Cross and
in 1285 was a castle gate in the direction of Reggio.
In 1286, he wrote that Parmigiani of S. Cristina and Porta Nuova
came to the tomb to take the help Reggiani against Modena. Castle
was completed in 1287 also said that Castel Navona and the castle
was destroyed in 1295 by expelled Parmigiani, then rebuilt with
the help of the Marquis d'Este, who then reported serious defeat
in the next year campaign between the castle of the Cross and
Cavriago. He then signed a peace treaty between the Marquis
Azzo d'Este, the city of Ferrara, Modena and Reggio on one side
and the city of Parma, the other days in July 31, 1297 in "strata
Claudia." In October 1315 Gilberto da Correggio, Lord of
Parma, came here with his troops threatening not to go back
until they conquered Reggio, but 15 days later, due to rain
and the beginning of the Winter, he returned.

In that year the river overflows in Montecchio Enza and waters
flooded all the low places, Cadè and Calerno, with serious
damage to the countryside and the houses of the period. In 1447
Cavriago and Cadè broke with the area of Correggio and
spontaneously joined the Marquis of Este Leonello. On this occasion,
the Cavriaghesi wanted to spend Cadè as their domain
and so in 1451 the citizens of Cadè complained that the
marquis was forced to ask all the elders of Reggio get a confirmation
on the matter and obtained the Cadè same privileges of
Reggio.
In
1486, residents of Cadè renewed their concerns by sending
their agents by the Veterans April 25 where he claimed to be
ready to go completely under the domination of Cavriago if it
had been made in the field of Reggio. In 1490 the inhabitants
of Cadè also found support from people like Matteo Maria
Boiardo and others who have seen inappropriate reasons why Cavriago
wanted to assimilate Cadè, which is required to participate
in the construction of a canal, and so he was decided that he
could not impose state Cavriago Cade, now his dominion. Appropriate
as long as they remain the responsibility Cavriago were not
imposed on them and had his own administration. Throughout the
Marquis de Cavriago, from 1497 to 1796, Cadè followed
his fortune, but it was a municipality with its own privileges
and consuls. On September 1, 1796, the City Cadè decided
to establish the Republic under the immediate protection of
Reggio. During the Cisalpine Republic belonged to the canton
of Cavriago and Montecchio, and then in 1803 he was united in
Sant'Ilario, then in 1805 formed a commune with Gaida which
lasted until 1815 when, under the sovereign edict of January
12, was closed last mayor Angelo Boni gave the cards to the
Mayor Sant'Ilario, Villa Cadè was low until 1827, when
he was finally part of the municipality of Reggio.
