Breve Descrizione: In natura crescono spesso su cortecce di altre piante e sono sprovviste di pseudobulbi. Le foglie possono essere piatte, cilindriche o con forme intermedie. Le radici sono grandi e carnose. Presenta fusti fioriferi all'ascella delle foglie, che possono essere eretti o penduli. I fiori si presentano in varie tonalità secondo la specie: blu, giallastri, giallo-verdi con molte screziature diversificate. Alcune specie di Vanda sono anche molto profumate.

Uso: Coltivata per la stupefacente bellezza dei fiori. Scarsa resistenza al freddo e poco amante dei vasi. Si prestano molto bene agli incroci.
