Breve Descrizione: È una pianta erbacea camefita suffruticosa, alta 30-60 cm, con rami legnosi terminanti in scapi erbacei eretti. Le foglie inferiori, addensate alla base, sono lineari-spatolate con margine dentellato, mentre quelle cauline sono ridotte a squame lineari. I fiori, riuniti in una infiorescenza a corimbo del diametro di 5-7 cm, presentano una corolla violacea stretta e tubulosa e un collo corollino molto allungato.

Durata: Perenne.

Periodo Di Fioritura: Tra primavera ed estate.

Area Di Origine: Europa.

Clima: Temperato.

Uso: Fra i giardinieri la specie Trachelium è una delle più comuni (ma anche una delle più rustiche); normalmente sono usate come piante da aiuola e da mosaicoltura. Con le radici si usa preparare un collutorio per tonsilliti e gole infiammate.

The flowers are gathered in an inflorescence corymb 5-7 cm in diameter, have a corolla purplish narrow tubular corolla and a very long neck.

Climate: Temperate.

Use: Among the gardeners Trachelium the species is one of the most common (but also one of the more hardy); are normally used as bedding plants and mosaicoltura. With the roots is used to prepare a mouthwash for sore throats and tonsillitis.
