Breve Descrizione: Arbusto sempreverde o a foglia decidua sempre compatto, i rami sono arcuati e le foglie alterne e lanceolate, dall'aspetto cuoioso e dai margini spesso dentellati. Una particolarità del foglieme, che rende questa pianta apprezzabile da un punto di vista ornamentale, è la colorazione che assume in autunno, cambiando verso tonalità vivaci tendenti al rosso. Le infiorescenze solitamente sono bianche ed appaiono riunite in pannocchie. Il frutto è una capsula arrontondata.

Uso: Pianta rustica da esterno che si può coltivare anche in vaso, dove il clima è più freddo. La maggior parte preferisce un'ombreggiatura parziale.

The inflorescences are usually white and appear together in panicles. The fruit is a capsule round.
