Breve Descrizione: Pianta resistente che vive prevalentemente nei terreni aridi e degradati delle zone litoranee, isolata o associata ad altre piante della macchia mediterranea, quali lentisco e cisto. Presenta fusto ramificato, con rami nudi in basso e fittamente fogliosi in alto; corteccia liscia e di colore rossastro, foglie ovali molto allungate, a margine intero, che cadono in estate permettendo alla pianta di sopportare (riducendo la superficie traspirante) la forte calura estiva. Dopo la fioritura spuntano i frutti che sono delle capsule trilobate di circa mezzo cm di diametro.
Durata: Perenne.
Periodo Di Fioritura: I fiori, molto numerosi, sono riuniti in ombrelle ornate alla base da numerose foglie.

Brief Description: Resistant plant that lives mainly in arid and degraded coastal areas, isolated or associated with other plants of the Mediterranean, such as mastic and cistus. It has branched trees with bare branches in low and densely leafy top, smooth bark and reddish in color, very elongated oval leaves, with entire margin, falling in summer, allowing the plant to withstand (reducing the transpiring surface) the strong summer heat . After flowering sprout the fruits of which are three-lobed capsule about half a centimeter in diameter.

Flowering Period: The flowers, very numerous, are grouped in umbels at the base decorated with numerous leaves.
