Breve Descrizione: Genere di piante erbacee di medie dimensioni (15 cm. - 2m.), da resistenti a delicate, con foglie lobate o suddivise e fiori molto colorati. Esiste una gamma vastissima di forme e varietà.

Durata: Perenne o annuale a seconda della specie.

Periodo Di Fioritura: Secondo la specie ed il clima, fiorisce a partire dalla primavera-estate fino verso la fine di ottobre. Le infiorescenze sono variegate: possono avere un disco giallo e petali molto allungati di forma ovale; a fior d'anemone, simile alle margherite; a forma di pompon con ligule tubiliformi fitte e corte; sferici con ligule incurvate verso l'interno; con ligule tubuiliformi disposte a raggiera. I colori delle infiorescenze possono essere gialli, rossi, bianchi o rosa.

Clima: Temperato.

Uso: Viene utilizzato come pianta da bordura, in vaso o per fiore reciso.
