Breve Descrizione: Pianta erbacea che forma bassi ciuffi circolari di foglie divise, verde-blu, con picciolo molto lungo; dal centro delle foglie si erge uno stelo, lungo fino a 80 cm circa, che porta numerosi fiori, spesso riuniti in grappoli, di colore vario dal bianco al blu, talvolta anche bicolori; hanno il calice ad imbuto, che termina con uno sperone.

Durata: Perenne o biennale secondo il tipo di coltivazione.

Periodo Di Fioritura: In primavera, da maggio a giugno, presenta fiori grandi, lungamente peduncolati, con 5 petali e 5 sepali.

Area Di Origine: America, Asia e zone alpine dell'Europa.
