Nome Botanico: Alchemilla Vulgaris.

Famiglia: Rosaceae.

Breve Descrizione: Pianta erbacea provvista di rizoma e di fusti eretti o ascendenti, lunghi fino a 50 cm. Le foglie della rosetta basale sono palmate, con 7-11 lobi arrotondati simili ad un ventaglio; hanno margine dentato ed un lungo picciolo. Le foglie del fusto sono alterne, sub-rotonde, con picciolo sempre più corto. I fiori, molto piccoli, formano densi corimbi apicali; il calice, con quattro segmenti terminali è di colore verde giallastro; è presente anche un calicetto, mentre i petali sono assenti. Il frutto è composto da 1-4 acheni racchiusi nel tubo calicino.

Durata: Perenne.

Periodo Di Fioritura: Da maggio a settembre compaiono i fiori raccolti in mazzetti.

Area Di Origine: Europa occidentale e centrale.

Clima: Temperato freddo.

Uso: Viene solitamente coltivata per composizioni, aiuole e giardino roccioso, ma anche ad uso farmacologico. E' una delle erbe più coreografiche che possiamo inserire in giardino.
