"STEADFAST" DESCRIPTION
Steadfast is an Inferno campaign set thirty years after the events of FreeSpace 2.
Steadfast is an alternative campaign to Inferno, so its storyline and plot have nothing in common with Inferno's ones:
Twenty years after the Battle of Capella, the Alliance completed the construction of the GTI Melia, the Terran Knossos which would re-connect Sol to Delta Serpentis. When Terran ships arrived, they didn't find a system on the verge of collapse, but a strong system-wide nation called Earth Alliance. In the following months, treaties were signed between the GTVA and the EA. One of such treaties consisted of a blueprint exchange between the GTVA and the EA, and licensed production of starships. One of the fisrt ships completed was the GTCa Steadfast, a Telemus class carrier. The fighter pilots onboard the Steadfast are only elite ones, carefully chosen amongst the best GTVA and EA pilots. But after 10 years of peace, signs of uprising are coming from the Altair system...
