In this week’s PARADE, the Department of the Interior and the Coast Guard announce the second installment of the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Program. During this phase, 20 historic lighthouses will be given away to qualified applicants. Check out a gallery of 14 of the available lighthouses (six are featured in this week’s issue) and visit the National Parks Service’s Lighthouse Heritage Web site for more information on lighthouses around the nation.
