Back Pain Sciatica Spinal Stenosis Brings instant relief from chronic back pain
New forum now open for our visitors * * Post your problem for a direct response! BACK PAIN FACTS FALLACIES OF SPINAL SURGERY FREE ONLINE DIAGNOSIS This website is based on more than 30 years of clinical experience
The treatment of back pain, bulging discs, sciatica, scoliosis, stenosis and other spinal conditions does not require surgery
Surgery itself has now become a major cause of chronic pain and life-long disability in thousands of spinal cases - which is why surgery should be avoided at all costs unless you have broken your back
Mechanical compression of one or more of the spinal nerves or irritation of a nerve root by a bulging disc is a common cause of sciatica, back pain, or numbness in a limb
Surgery leaves the patient with a painful spine incapable of any natural movement, and the patient soon experiences constant pain and a reduced quality of life due to the consequences of scar tissue and spinal instability
The patient is not told this prior to surgery, and following surgery the patient is left to suffer and does not know how to alleviate the pain

BACK PAIN CONDITIONS Migraine Restless Legs Syndrome DIAGNOSTIC TESTS TREATMENT OPTIONS RESOURCES FOR DOCTORS ONLY ABOUT US Overview Neck and back pain, especially pain in the lower back, is one of the most common health problems in adults
Fortunately, most back and neck pain is temporary, resulting from short-term stress on the muscles or ligaments that support the spine rather than from a serious injury or medical condition such as nerve damage or kidney disease
Incidence and Prevalence In the United States, back pain is reported to occur at least once in 85% of adults below the age of 50
Aging produces wear and tear on the spine that may result in conditions (e.g., disc degeneration, spinal stenosis) that produce neck and back pain
Sleeping on a soft or sagging mattress also can lead to back pain
Sports that involve twisting the back, like golf, can result in back injury or worsen existing lower back pain

More than 90 percent of abdominal aneurysms are associated with atherosclerosis and can cause leg pain (claudication), numbness or fatigue
If painful, thrombophlebitis may be present and the blood pressure cuff should not be used because of a possible embolus creation
The aneurysm can cause low back pain due to the constant aortic pounding on the vertebral plate which is imbued with a rich supply of periosteal pain fibers
As a side note, a renal artery aneurysm may also cause high blood pressure which should be suspected if the patient has back pain in addition to high blood pressure
Also, inner thigh pain in patients over 50 can be triggered by an aneurysm
A kidney punch test will help qualify if low back pain is of renal/ureter origin because shock waves from the 'punch' will be felt into the groin area

Medical information for patients [ | ] Sciatica Sciatica is the term given to pain down the leg, which is caused by irritation of the main nerve into the leg, the sciatic nerve
This pain tends to be caused where the nerves pass through and emerge from the lower bones of the spine (lumbar vertebrae)
In sciatica, there is a pain down into the leg, which travels below the knee, and may involve the foot
Sometimes the back pain comes before the sciatica, and sometimes will follow
As with low back pain, there is a group of features (the Red Flags ) which doctors use to highlight the need to act more quickly, because they may suggest a problem which is not as straightforward as simple back pain or sciatica
The pain follows a violent injury, such as a road traffic accident
The pain is constant and getting worse
The pain is in the back of the chest
Certainly you should consult him or her if you are not able to adequately control the pain with simple painkillers and/or, or if the pain carries on for more than two weeks
