Studies

There are lots of things you should know about RUC if you are planing to come to study here. First of all, the study system is known as an experimental and alternative way to study, but, be careful, do not mistake that with an organised place. RUC is a very unorganised University. But before going back to search information about other university, stay here and have a look to what we have to tell you about our University. Although it sounds bad, it is not. We have a lot of fun here!

About the Study System

The study system is different, we work in groups and although it is a funny experience, you have to be very responsible and to know that everybody has to work if you want to success and pass the exam. At the beginning of the semester everybody chooses a group and a theme to work with. That is the most important thing you have to do when you start the academic year. Before you join a group, you need to be sure what your interests are and what you are going to write about. Once you decide this you start working in what is called the PROJECT WORK.

About the teachers

What can we say!! Like in every University, there are bad and good teachers but most of them are very helpful and well qualified to supervise your project works. Working in groups and having a personal supervisor of your project is one of RUC’s characteristics. The best thing of RUC is that you always have a close relationship with your teachers and you always can ask them to help you and to guide you in your research. There are meetings with them and they are always available by e-mail.

The most important event of the year is the Annual Party, which takes places in the middle of September and thousand of people come from all around the country to enjoy the music and different entertainment we prepare for that day.

During the year there are parties almost every week in the different departments. And if you want to meet new people you always can join the International Committee (IC). The IC is a club where all exchange and guests students at RUC meet to do different and funny activities (such as ice skating, horseback ridding and other cultural and social activities) at very low prices. Social Life

Fun, fun, fun, lots of fun is what we have in RUC. Yes, folks, if you what to have fun, RUC is the place where you have to go. Once we start working we need sometime to relax and that is why we party! In spite of its unorganised system, RUC students and staff are very good organising parties.
