  • Recent Services 9 August 2006 16:22 ILB At 16:22 Yarmouth Coastguard paged for the launch of the ILB for four children cut off by the incoming tide on Bob Hall's Sand following a report from the local Coastwatch Association

  • The children were attempting to cross the channel without assistance but were forced back by the depth of the channel and strong flood tide

  • The ILB crew were paged at 16:24 and the ILB arrived with the casualties at 16:32, returning the children to the station before returning for a further party of three, also cut off by the tide

  • At 07:34 YCG requested a launch to render assistance on the ebbing tide

  • 23 July 2006 16:17 ILB Following the Station Open Day with crew present on the station, several people were seen and reported cut off by the tide

  • Before the ILB launched several members of the public were ferried across the channel by a private inflatable dinghy, leaving one person cut off by the tide on the East side of Wells Harbour, North of the Boat House

  • With the tide ebbing, the conditions were unsuitable to transfer the tow and Whitewater continued the tow into Blakeney Pit
