since the weekend's storms, i have been unable to get connected via my adsl modem. it is an alcatel speedtouch home. obviousely lightning could be a possibility but i am able to connect to the modem with http and ping it without any

as i pointed out earlier, i have a static ip. my laptop can connect when its plugged in directly into the adsl modem (alcatel speedtouch, no built-in router). my isp does not use pppoe and my ip starts with 82.182.xx
