Build your own "Eole" in paper

History was made on December 17, 1903, when Wilbur and Orville  Wright gave us the  wings. Their names will be remembered forever.

But - before them - a lot of fervent believers in the heavier-than-air had devoted their lives to the realization of a dream. Time was not ripe, and their names were forgotten.

**

Clément Ader was one of them.

On October 9, 1890, at Armainvilliers (France), his steam-powered "Eole" made the first powered take-off in history. It was a brief but well documented 164 ft. flight, and he never was able to repeat this performance. But the road was open.
