The 2nd leg of U2 360 begins with a safe show that's very similar to earlier European concerts. Bono introduces the whole band before I Still Haven't Found, just like he used to do on the Elevation Tour. He sings a bit of 'Oliver's Army' during Sunday Bloody Sunday, and adds a couple lines from 'Fool To Cry' and '40' at the end of Bad. Although the band rehearsed Your Blue Room and changes to One & Streets over the past couple nights, they're apparently not ready to play them yet.

U2 change the setlist position of No Line On The Horizon: previously always second in the 360° Tour setlist, it is played tenth while Magnificent slots in at second. Breathe returns as the opener after missing the previous gig entirely. Unknown Caller misses a 360° Tour gig for only the third time. It's Bruce Springsteen's birthday, and although he does not join U2 on stage, the band play a medley of his song She's The One and their own Desire early in the main set; due to technical limitations, Desire is listed as a snippet. This is Desire's first appearance on the second leg, nearly two months since it was last played.

This concert was originally scheduled for 25 September 2009 and was only announced after strong ticket sales for the show on the 24th of September. It was moved to the 23rd so that the stadium would be free to host a rescheduled New York Jets game.

During Muse's opening set, frontman Matthew Bellamy plays a snippet of U2's The Fly at the start of Uprising.

U2 originally intended to play Raleigh on the Popmart Tour on 29 May 1997 but the show was cancelled at short notice.

U2's first show in Raleigh happens under a gorgeous full moon, and Bono sings about the moon at length at the end of Beautiful Day. There's a stunning moment during Sunday Bloody Sunday when Bono takes a fan's 'People Get Ready' sign, starts to sing the song while the band continues playing SBS, then throws his mic into the crowd so the fan can sing more of People Get Ready. The fan nails it and tosses the mic back to Bono. Bono gives a shout-out to the U2 academic conference that's happening in town this weekend, and pays tribute twice to conference speaker Agnes Nyamayarwo, who's at the show and recently had a birthday.

It was one of numerous shows to then be quietly removed from the tour itinerary. It was re-announced on 6 April, and was the only date changed out of all those removed. It was U2's first concert in Norman or anywhere in Oklahoma since the 10 June 1983 concert on the War Tour. The setlist contains only the second performance of In A Little While on the second leg of the 360° Tour, and the reappearance of Unknown Caller after an absence of almost a month.

It's the first time a major artist has offered a full concert for free on YouTube, and the live stream is nearly flawless. Beautiful Day includes short bits of In God's Country, God Only Knows, and The Maker. In Moment of Surrender, Bono raps similarly to how he did during Saturday Night Live (Sept. 26). The last show of the 2009 tour suffers from several minor problems. Bono has microphone trouble early in the show and his voice struggles to get through Elevation. The ISS video drops out during In A Little While, leaving only Frank DeWinne's voice to close the song. Since it's the final show, Bono has a long list of Thank Yous that includes Edge's mom, who's at the show, 'for being our first crew member.' Bill Gates is also there, and Bono leads the crowd in singing Happy Birthday to him early in the show. One includes the 'Hear us coming' coda.

U2 performs at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25th Anniversary concerts. Because The Night is done with Bruce Springsteen and Patti Smith. But the first try is a wreck, so they do it again and then redo the intro a third time. Springsteen stays on stage Stucfor I Still Haven't Found. Black Eyed Peas join U2 for the Mysterious Ways - Where Is the Love combo, which includes a bit of One. Mick Jagger and Fergie sing Gimme Shelter, practically with U2 as their backing band. Jagger stays on to duet with Bono on Stuck In a Moment. Though U2 are given a one-hour slot and said to have 12 songs planned, their set is shorter. A setlist distributed before the show says U2 will play for 41 minutes (the actual time is longer due to the Because The Night redo).

U2 performs a free concert at the Brandenburg Gate to mark the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. The performance is part of the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards. Both 'One' and 'Magnificent' are slightly abbreviated due to time constraints. Jay-Z joins in on Sunday Bloody Sunday and does a rap that morphs into a bit of 'Get Up Stand Up.'

Not a U2 performance per se, but a Wyclef Jean performance at the RFK Center's Ripple of Hope Awards Dinner. While doing Redemption Song, Jean goes into the audience and gets Bono to sing the song with him. There are unconfirmed reports that the two sang other songs, as well. Bono and Jean also picked up awards during the event for their humanitarian work.

Where the Streets Have No Name

The Edge joins Muse on Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage for a very faithful version of 'Streets' that the crowd appears to love. The performance comes a day after U2 were supposed to make their own Glastonbury debut -- but that was canceled when Bono's back surgery forced U2 to postpone the first leg of the 2010 U2 360 Tour. Edge becomes the second member of U2 to perform at Glastonbury; Adam guested with Hothouse Flowers on June 17, 1989.
