biography Genoa, 1947. Armando Corsi. "the smiling guitar". So is usually defined this special, apparently introverted, musician. He is the living witness of forty years of music, beginning from the old wine bars of Genoa, where old people used to meet to sing their stories in dialect, to reach Latin America, inspired by musicians like Jobim, Gilberto and Piazzolla. This track leaded to collaborate with Paco de Lucia and other famous Italian artists like Anna Oxa and Ivano Fossati. Armando Corsi
took part in various radio and TV programmes. In 1995 he carried out two
projects: his first CD as soloist, " Itinerari ",
and a listening hall called "Le Muse" in Genoa.
In 1997 the issue of his second album, " Anima Latina ", a didactic clip dominated by the most characteristic element of lain music, the melody. Also in this CD you can find a trip trough many countries of Latin area, from Spain to Caribbeans, Argentina and Brazil. Very beautiful is also the Italian chapter of the work, showing songs inspired to the Neapolitan and Genoan traditions. In 1998 Corsi
took part in a show called "Sull'amore oscuro e la libertà",
by the Theatre Eliseo of Rome, for the anniversary of the birth of Federico
Garcia Lorca.
