Second: 0,5 bonus point

--------------
2nd CHECKPOINT

--------------

New Bonus-Points rule should permit to see a more research of strategy to gain more points as possible and, rewarding 2nd place too, an high engagement of all drivers since 1st checkpoint.

25 Mar 17.00 - Podium-photocopy in R2: three great results again!

Same podium of R1: Mark L. Rivers, Chulk, Krys TOFF! Other 3 great results by the bishops of this great specialty! Yes, only them on this track, but all performances have a great value. The italian driver wins his 2nd consecutive race with a impressive time: as usual a big surprise above all for him! In fact, when he saw what Chulk said in the Forum, that is "winning time will be around 1'23" " he thought that very difficultly he would approach that time... But the next day he has guessed an incredible lap (at the end of a single session 45 minutes long) where he succeeded to drive fast in all tracts! But great results from Chulk and Krys TOFF too! Both improved in last week (the french in last 10 minutes!) with 2 times very near (1"20 the gap between them) and very fast! The argentinian NORH specialist lead the race until 2nd intermediate (about 1" the vantage) but he didn't risk after the icy jump, passing inside the tunnels instead of jump over them, and so he passed at 3rd intermediate with a heavy gap (2"20) which increased until the finish (4"65) because he didn't succeed to keep completely his car on the road in the last curve. Great result anyway! And great result for Krys TOFF too! A more linear and more careful race for the french ace but he risked on tunnel and this permitted him to stay very near at Chulk. And if he had not squabbled on the gears in last section, maybe the 2nd place could be possible for him! Well, only three drivers for this track, the only who have succeeded to keep high the passion for a specialty really unique in Stunts world racing, taking part in all official SDR NORH races since the first, in last May! But beginning from next race all can change: R3 will be characterized from a track dedicated to NORH race! NORH drivers will have to dedicate a number of trial more low than previous tracks, so: less time to reach a good performace, more fun driving your Indy in an involving NORH race! Remember this date: 1st April at 00:01. The new era of NORH race is going to start... Will you can say: "I was"? ;-)

25 Mar 17.00 - A supersonic Chulk wins R2!!

Fantastic race for Chulk which wins clearly R2!! Really an awesome result  (1'08"25) for the argentinian champion which conquers his 2nd victory in SDR RH contest almost a year after the first! Racing like a supersonic jet in all section of the race Chulk has preceded Mark L. Rivers, the only which has succeeded to snatch the best time of a section (the last). No improvement for the italian driver although he tried without gain not even 0"05, but arriving 2nd again as R1, now he's first in general classification! Third, as R1, Zak McKracken: no further replays from the hungarian ace, but his time (as we have saw soon) was really strong, above all for a very fast last section of race (only 0"15 his gap from Mark). Fourth a dogged Krys TOFF! With 4 consecutive improvements in last days, the french driver succeeded to overtake his teammate SuperBrian for only 0"20! Like a wink-message near to: "SB, you're very fast, but... for the moment you have to stay behind your ganger... ;-)". Anyway, great performance again by the young danish, 5th! And he was even 3rd at last intermediate, but he has not perfectioned last curve, leaving in it a lot of time... Really a pity for him, Fluency could be his first podium! Sixth a tameless AbuRaf70: the argentinian driver has improved step by step, reaching a good 1'14"00, a result he didn't believe possible! Great result for him too! And in last week joined Paleke too (7th): just an assay race for him, near to an IRC lap. But he apposed his sign on this race anyway: thank to his 4 points, Damage Inc now lead the Team Classification with 1 point over MeganiuM Aces High! Waiting for Gutix, sure... ;-)   Great absent has been CTG: the hungarian, after the winning outset in R1, has not taken part in R2. Sure we hope to see him again in the next race, on a track enterely dedicated to RH drivers and their Indy: the appointment is for the 1st April at 00:01!

18 Mar 14.30 - No new times: calm before storm?

No new times last week, no changes in classification, no bonus point assigned. No time to race? Almost sure. Anyway, it's pleasent to think that NORH drivers are preparing a final attack for the victory in last week, keeping all their resources for last days. As usual, let's see!

18 Mar 14.30 - Only AbuRaf70 keeps hot his engine!

Only two replays in last week, both by AbuRaf70, the only driver which is keeping hot his engine! The argentinian driver breaks 1'20" barrier as other racers and he's by now on the wash of Krys TOFF. OK, it has just begun the last week of race: who will be able to improve his current result? Who will win? Seven days to know the answers...

11 Mar 18.40 - Two drivers without secrets!

Only 2 times in last week, but very significative! Outset by Chulk in R2 with a strong time the day after a consistent improvement (-4") by Mark L. Rivers: both under 1'29" with the italian driver which still remain at the vertex for only 0"80! After the great challenge in the last year, it seems that the two NORH specialist have begun to know very well each other: both know the potential of their principal opponent and so they balance their performances in a very similar way! This time contest manager has dosed his potential succeeding to catch the bonus point at stake for the 2nd checkpoint. But at the next one, maybe it will be Chulk to get the last bonus point! But we cannot forget another strong NORH racer, Krys TOFF*. He has demonstrated yet to be very fast on this track, and if he will reach to land on the "ice-chicane", he can easily jump on top of the scoreboard! And we cannot forget that other NORH specialist like CTG, Gutix, Parano, Zak McKracken and other could join... The door is open for every driver! Sure, it's not easy to win a NORH race... Don't you believe it? ;-)

* Krys TOFF's replay about NORH Mastery has been added to Mastery_NORH zip file downloadable from Download page.

11 Mar 18.40 - A jab from contest manager!

Three drivers on the track in last week and 5 replays sent: not a great activity but the usual upgrade by AbuRaf70 (near to leave the provisional last place) and two very interesting times from SuperBrian and Mark L. Rivers! Before the more and more fast danish makes a great outset (1'12"40) approaching consistently Zak's time and subsequently contest manager places a jab going down under 1'10" and getting the bonus point at stake for the 2nd Checkpoint! As it's happened yet, the italian driver has discovered to be able to reach times lower than he believed, even if it was not easy this time... He declares in fact to have succeeded to lower his time after he had thought for a long time not to go down under 1'12". Only racing very hard in the first part of the track, he has succeed to makes a little exploit (for him). But CTG declared that winning time will be 1'05"xx, so we would see many others strong times! Difficult, very difficult to see a great consistent improvement from current leader, maybe 1", no more. But he sure hopes to be wrong one more time!

04 Mar 16.10 - A duel on the track!

Mark L. Rivers and Krys TOFF renovate in R2 their duel! Both have evidently choosen not to jump on icy tract and this explains their times not so fast, even if the italian succeeds to make lightly better getting the first bonus points at stake. Well, really it's very riskful to try the fast-way with the blind-jump and subsequent landing on the small and close icy tract where it's absolutely necessary to inverte immediately the trajectory avoiding a slide on the water... And if a driver wants to keep the speed to jump on the bank-road and on the subsequent tunnel, well, the thing is still more complex... Anyway, we'll see a balanced duel from Mark and Krys! Sure great wait for Chulk's outset and sure for other daredevils and passional drivers which want to feel the great emotions that only a NORH race can arouse!

04 Mar 16.10 - Zak McKracken freezes all with a shocking time!

A real schocking time (sent only after 14 hours of race...) by Zak McKracken! As in R1, the hungarian ace gets the first bonus point at stake with a race absolutely incredible: 1'11"60! After the provisional leader we find (8" slower...) pratically paired Krys TOFF and Mark L. Rivers: only 0"05 between the french and the italian which have choosen a very similar strategy to try to catch more bonus point. But they have been swept away from "Cyclon-Zak" which seems to play with discovered card. Seeing his time it appears very difficult he can succeed to get another bonus points at next checkpoints. But maybe this will be difficult for many drivers... AbuRaf70 begins with an usual slow start before climbing the scoreboard. Probably he still didn't jump on icy tract; so maybe next time will be more near to the others... Anyway, next checkpoint will tell us more about the real limit of the track and maybe of the drivers. Let's see!

28 Feb 22.10 - Gentlemen, start your engines!

Who will be the best at first checkpoint? We'll know it next Sunday at 14:00!

28 Feb 22.10 - Gentlemen, start your engines!

...and remember: less than 4 days at 1st checkpoint!

27 Feb 23.00 - R2, not so hard as R1!

R2 is going to start! Only one critical point and not so hard like first 25" of R1. So the hope is R2 will see more NORH drivers on the track! Check next news to know more details about the race. Come on, NORH drivers, show all your Stunts passion your Jaguar XJR9!

27 Feb 23.00 - A faster challenge!

A faster challenge than R1 is waiting all drivers and their Jaguar XJR9! Differently form previous track, R2 will be in fact characterized for an higher Average Speed. Check next news to know more details about the race.

27 Feb 08.00 - Next race description

No hairpin, no forced slow curves, and after Start drivers can forget to have 1st and 2nd gear (maybe 3st gear too for anyone? Let's see!). Anyway in new track there are some passages (especially one of them just after 2nd intermediate) where drivers will have to use all their sensibility to reduce at minimum speed loss. The difficult will be just to drive with a great fluency so to mantain an high speed for all the tracts of the track, avoiding to push on brakes too much. Bank-road for shortcuts? Sure! One of them has been put in a very unusual, but useful point... Ice? Just a micro-tract, but if drivers could have snow-tyres maybe they would use them! Sure it will be interesting to see how drivers will act relatively to checkpoint bonus points. Winning time will be higher than R1. So if drivers will want to catch more than 1 bonus points they will have to make a not easy calculation to avoid to push on right pedal too much...

25 Feb 17.15 - A new leader in general classification!

After a whole season with a unique name in first line of Season scoreboard, "Chulk", the new season has begun with a news: Mark L. Rivers leads the general classification! Yes, the italian driver has succeded in last days to put his wheels ahead the argentinian champion (0"80 the final difference) thanks to a different choice in last section of race! In fact, the two drivers had raced their respective races almost specularly, even if Chulk was always faster in every section (-0"25 in section 1, -0"05 in section 2, -0"15 in section 3), except the last (+1"30 in section 4). Another great challenge by the two specialists of NORH races, a dazzling prelude for the whole season! And R1 has gifted a new podium for Krys TOFF! The french driver has sent a new time just before the deadline with a consistent improvement: 1'17"70, not very bad! Yes, 8" more than winner's time could seem so many. But it's not so. Mastery is a difficult track for NORH drive, because it needs many attempts to find a right feeling, and maybe this explains the limited number of racers. It was pleasent anyway to greets the outset of a new NORH driver, Overdrijf (4th at the end without improvements)! R2 will start next 1th March at 00.00.01 and drivers will have to race a different car, Jaguar XJR9! A description of next race will be published soon! Sure we hope others driver will join in the big show called "NORH Race"!

25 Feb 17.15 - CTG apposes his sigil on first race of the season!

A great race by CTG consent him to appose his sigil on R1, Mastery! Fantastic time by the hungarian champion which has resulted 1st in every intermediate skimming the minute barrier with 1'00"95! But just behind him a big surprise: Mark L. Rivers! Racing very hard in last days, but above all thanks to a different race choice than other drivers in last section (only SuperBrian like contest manager), he succeeds to close in 1'01"75, an unimaginable time for him just few days ago! So the italian driver  has succeeded to precede Zak McKracken (3rd with a further improvement yesterday), Chulk (4th, no replays since last checkpoint), Krys TOFF (5th, no improvements since 2nd checkpoint, really a pity), SuperBrian (6th, good new replays in last week and great 3rd time in section 4), AbuRaf70 (7th with his usual irreducible spirit even if without improvements in last week) and Paleke (8th no improvements for him too). You can see analisys of the race on RH Race page just after the map. R2 will start next 1th March at 00.00.01 and drivers will have to race a different car, Jaguar XJR9 (another smile from CTG...)! Who will succeed to interpret in the best way the new very fast challenge? A description of next track will be published soon!

18 Feb 18.00 - The master is back!

Yes, all were advised, all were at window to see if the tornado arrived... and it's arrived! Chulk, last season master, is come back with a fantastic time: 1'10"45! Another great demonstration of his incredible ability in this difficult specialty, another great challenge to all others drivers, especially for Mark L. Rivers, the only driver in last season which has tried to oppose at his superpower! Only one time in this week, but just one week to the end: what will we see in the last seven days? Will we see anyone ables to put his own wheels ahead Chulk's car, maybe a driver which has not raced yet? Well, Chulk's time appears very hard to reach, but the passion of NORH drivers could fill the gap... Let's see!

18 Feb 18.00 - Zak McKracken and Chulk: thunderous ex-aequo!!

Couple of aces at vertex: thunderous ex-aequo by Zak McKracken and Chulk with the same time!! Fantastic races by the argentinian and the hungarian and chronometer stopped (unrealistically) at 1'02"95! Getting one bonus point for leading at 3rd checkpoint, Chulk reaches 16 points in provisional classification, the same score of Zak which, instead, doesn't get another bonus point (even if he's leading with Chulk) because he hasn't succeeded to lower his previous time over 3% (1'02"45 or less was his target). So what do it means? If Zak has not sent a time 3% lower of previous time (even if it's only 0"50 lower than time which he just has sent) did he reach his limit yet? Or maybe he had not time to race more to lower enough his limit? Next Sunday we'll know it! About other times, good improvement by Mark L. Rivers (which goes down until an undreamed 1'04"30...), AbuRaf70 (1'07"75 under 1'08") and SuperBrian (1'09"00, over 2 seconds left). And now we are at last week! Who will win the first race of the year? Sure great challenge for Zak and Chulk, but can they stay sure that other drivers don't swoop suddenly in the last week? Two last season great starrings, Gutix and CTG, are still missed... And if would others drivers (BJ?) join? Let's see!

11 Feb 16.00 - Track free and another bonus point for the leader!

Only Mark L. Rivers on the track, not a great show but a remarkable result. Three improvements for the leader with last one just 3% lower than previous leading time: this means another bonus point for the italian driver! Yes, previous leading time at 1st checkpoint was 1'15"20 and to get another bonus point he had to go down under 1'12"90. Driving with some risk, he reached 1'12"75 getting a second bonus point and now his provisional score is 17 points. Will we see again him on top next checkpoint! Sure he hopes so! But even if it will be so, very hardly he will succeed to get another the third and last bonus point: it seems too much far 1'10"55... Moreover, in RH race an well-know driver has just reappeared, and we can be sure we'll talk soon about him in NORH race... So, Mark L. Rivers, Krys TOFF and other NORH specialists (CTG? Parano? Gutix? Zak McKracken? Others?) are advised...

11 Feb 16.00 - A thunderbolt on the track: Zak McKracken new leader!

He had sent his replay just after 1st checkpoint, so his result has remained in mailbox until today. Opening it, the track has been floodlighted: Zak McKracken new leader with an awesome 1'04"70!! Big disappointed for Mark L. Rivers which had thought to mantain the lead getting a second bonus point: in fact the italian had succeeded to lower his previous time (1'09"85) over 3% (1'07"65). This has been just enough to defeat the attacks by AbuRaf70 (1'08"40, a good time after some improvements) but not enough to defeat the attack by Krys TOFF (a very good time, 1'06"75) and sure not enough to embank the harrying big wave by the hungarian ace! Really a pity for him not to send his mail just some minutes before at 1st checkpoint... And this week has gifted us the return to the races of one of the most esteemed drivers, Chulk, SDR 2006 NORH champion who arrived 3rd in SDR RH contest last season too! 1'10"05 is his entry time, but we are sure his next time won't be so far from the vertex... OK, other 7 days of race and a new checkpoint, the last one: who will get the last bonus point? Who will discover his cards to try to get it? Which other drivers will join? We all will know the answers next 18th February...

04 Feb 15.45 - Three drivers on track yet, welcome to Overdrijf!

Three drivers on track yet in less than three days of race, and a beautiful surprise: welcome to Overdrijf, netherlander, which has choosen SDR to begin his Stunts driver career (absolute outset in a Stunts official race on the WEB for him)! Other two drivers are two old (in every sense...) racer for SDR NORH races: Mark L. Rivers and Krys TOFF. Sure assay races for Krys and Overdrijf, but a race more consistently for the italian. Maybe too much to hope to gain another bonus points at next checkpoint... Anyway, good beginning of challenge waiting new results and new drivers too!

04 Feb 15.45 - Immediately a balanced challenge, welcoming Paleke!

Soon very near 4 drivers at first checkpoint for a balanced challenge, but a fifth one deserves to be mentioned afore others: welcome to Paleke, absolute ouset in a SDR race! Very balanced results for others, with Mark L. Rivers that leads ahead Krys TOFF (+ 0"70), SuperBrian (+1"30) and AbuRaf70 (+1"55). One points gained for contest manager at 1st checkpoint, but... who will be able to get the next one? Maybe the italian pushed too much hard on right pedal... Anyway, next Sunday we all will have a best vision about how the race will evolve! Who will join? Who will lead at 2nd checkpoint? Let's see!

31 Jan 22:00 - Gentlemen, start your engines!

OK, it's time to begin the new season! Keep on mind that 1st checkpoint is very near: next Sunday (4 Feb) at 14:00 (GMT+1)! So... Gentlemen, start your engines!

31 Jan 22:00 - Gentlemen, start your engines!

Are you ready to begin the new season? Watch your calendar and put a sign on next Sunday (4 Feb) at 14:00 (GMT+1): it's 1st checkpoint! So... Gentlemen, start your engines!

28 Jan 15:15 - Next track description

Well, as we have just said, not properly an easy track to begin the season...

Yes, first SDR track for 2007 is really suitable for a top drivers race. To reach a great result, in fact, drivers will have to show all mastery in various specialty: control, best line, increasing speed by jumps, point of brake, hairpin, controlled skids, and others. Speed will be very high in almost two tracts of race, and this won’t simplify the things: yes, a driver will have to show all his ability to drive a Stunts car…  not forgetting he will have to solve a cryptic final too... Just a little help between all these severities: a very manageable car, the Porsche 962. But, remember, it's not a robot-car...

28 Jan 15:00 - Welcome back!

Welcome back! After a pause of two months a new dazzling NORH season is going to begin! Who will be able in 2007 to beat Chulk, the absolute master of last NORH championship? CTG? Gutix? Krys TOFF? Mark L. Rivers? Parano? SuperBrian? Zak McKracken? The hunt is open... Anyway we hope that many drivers will participate at this wonderful specialty, where ability, firm nerves, head, heart and a great passion are what a driver needs to reach a great performance! And to increase the wish to take part at this special contest, unique in the WEB, you can read a short interview released by Chulk for SDR just after this news! But what kind of race will be the first one in the season? Well, not properly an easy track to begin...

And now, check your car and be ready, only three days to Start...

28 Jan 15:00 - Welcome back!

Welcome back! Two months after the great success by Gutix, SDR re-opens the doors for a new engaging high quality RH contest! As new SDR banner-link says, mastery and wide experience are requested to reach a great result. Tracks will be always maked to enjoy all drivers which will have to find the best line availing shortcuts (suggested or not), but every track will always be maked so to engage very much who will want to put his wheels ahead others opponents... What about 2007 RH challenge? Will Gutix succeed to defend his title? Or CTG, Chulk and other drivers will have their revenge? One thing is sure: first track will tell us something about this, cause it's not properly a track for beginner...

Is your car ready? And you? Only three days to Start...

28 Jan 15:00 - A short interview to Chulk, absolute master of last NORH season!

A new NORH season is going to begin, the better moment to hear the voice of the absolute master of last season, Chulk!

1) Congratulations Chulk for your win in the first official Stunts NORH contest! Which are your impressions?

Thanks, I feel the contest was very good, specially in its first season. Maybe next year many other drivers will join.

2) It was hard, because "someone" has competed with you until the end... Did you fear the rescue of your “chaser”?

Yes, that "someone" was very hard to beat in the last races. In the first two races it wasn't that hard but after the 3rd one where we tied in the first place, it was harder and harder to beat him with every new race.

3) What was your favourite SDR track in last season?

I really liked BRAKES

4) And the race more exciting?

Of course SHUSS. What can be better than a tied finnish?

5) You have race hard in NORH races, with a great intentness. Which are the characteristics that a Stunts driver must have to excel in this specialty?

Fast reflexes, constance to make a lap just like the previous one and above all you need patience.

6) Which motivations can lead a Stunts driver to feel an attraction towards this kind of races?

It's pure racing. No corrections but the ones you do while you race. Also the fact that you can win even if your replay is not flawless.

7) You have also skimmed SDR RH title in 2006, but in the final of the season many engages have kept you far from the races. Have you any disappointments about specific races?

I paid more attention to NORH competition when I had time and I still got quite good results in RH so I don't feel disappointed at all.

8) And finally, will we see you again in next SDR season?

Do you need to ask this? Of course!

Thanks Chulk for this interview, and above all thanks for the emotions that you gift us with your great performances: really a big show!

09 Jan 09:45 - SDR 2007 Season - New features!

After a pause of 2 months, the 1st February 2007 SDR re-open the doors to all Stunts drivers!
As 2006 season, SDR will admit two official and distinct championships:

RH contest, that is: racing with Replay Handling, sending a replay of the race

NORH contest, that is: racing without Replay Handling, sending a video of the race (availing DOSBOX 0.65 features).

Rules Page will contain soon all informations to know how you can participate at your favourite contest.
Anyway, some new features characterize new season, impacting appreciably on trend of every race respect last season:

1) Finish date

All races will finish last Sunday of the month at 14:00:00 (GMT+1)
About Start date, as last season all races will start the 1st day of every month at 00:00:01 (GMT+1), except for R8 which will start the 2nd day of September 2007.

2) Race Points

Scoring has been reviewed. These are Race Points which will be assigned from 1st place to 10th place: 15 - 12 - 10 - 8 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1.

3) Bonus Points (Checkpoints)

Leading Time Bonus has been eliminated, but it will be possible to get Bonus Points leading the race in correspondence of specific checkpoints during the month, as indicated below.

In every race, 14:00:00 (GMT+1) of every Sunday will constitute a checkpoint. Excluding first Sunday of April, July and September (days where races will start) and excluding obviously last Sunday of every month (day where all races finish) this means there will be 3 checkpoints for every race.

In correspondence of 1st checkpoint, it will be assigned 1 bonus point for current leader

In correspondence of 2nd checkpoint, it will be assigned 1 bonus point for current leader. If current leader will be the same of 1st checkpoint he will get another bonus point only if his time at 2nd checkpoint is at least 3% lower than his time at 1st checkpoint (*).

In correspondence of 3rd checkpoint, it will be assigned 1 bonus point for current leader. If current leader will be the same of 2nd checkpoint it will be assigned bonus point only if his time at 3rd checkpoint is at least 3% lower than his time at 2nd checkpoint.

* For example: A driver is resulted first at 1st checkpoint with 1'10"85 and so he has got one bonus point. If he results first again at 2nd checkpoint, he gets another bonus points only if he has sent after 1st checkpoint a new replay lower than 1'08"72 (3% of 1'10"85 = 0'02"12), that is 1'08"70 or lower.

To identify the specific points of the track where drivers will have to pass to make a valid race, it will be modified the 3rd rule of General Rules, substituting the term “checkpoints” with the term “intermediates”. This should avoid all possible misunderstandings about new Bonus Points system.

4) Scoreboard update

Update of scoreboards will be weekly, just after every checkpoint (or the next day). This means every driver won't know the results of the opponents before every checkpoint and this vales for contest manager too. In fact, he will check all replays (with RPLINFO) and all videos just after every checkpoint.

OK, that’s all for the moment!  See you soon!
