| - Nelson was Riccardo's team mate in Formula One during the 1982-1983 seasons in Team Brabham and in Team Williams during the Australian Grand Prix in 1987. Nelson's first race in Formula One was the German Grand Prix in July 30, 1978. He got 24 pole positions, won 23 races and became World Champion 3 times (1981, 1983 and 1987). He drove for Tissot (1978), BS (1978), Brabham (1978-1985), Williams (1986-1987), Lotus (1988-1989) and Benetton (1990-1991). His last F1 Grand Prix was the 1991 Australian Grand Prix in November 3. Actually Nelson has a Formula 3 team in which his son, Nelson Angelo Piquet, is the driver.
