| - Michele was Riccardo's co-driver in World Endurance Championship during 1981, 1982 and 1983 seasons. In 1981 He was his co-driver in Watkins Glen. In 1982 Michele was Riccardo's co-driver in 3 races (Monza, Silverstone and Nurburgring - Teo Fabi raced with them in Nurburgring) and in 1983, Michele raced with Riccardo in Monza, Silverstone, Nurburgring and Brands Hatch races. Michele's first race in Formula One was the 1981 San Marino Grand Prix in May 3, 1981. He won 5 races, got 2 poles and his best result was the second place in the 1985 Driver's Championship. Michele drove for 6 F1 teams: Tyrrell (1981-1983, 1989), Ferrari (1984-1988), Larrousse (1989), Footwork (1990-1992), Scuderia Italia (1993) and Minardi (1994). His last F1 race was the 1994 Australian Grand Prix. After his retirement from Formula One, he was driving in Touring Cars Championships and unfortunately died in April 25, 2001 during tests in Lausitzring with Audi for Le Mans 24 Hours race. Michele was married to Nadia and had 2 children. He was 44 years old.
