Wisconsin is the first State to require seat belts.

Six lanes of the George Washington Bridge lower deck are opened to traffic. They will contribute to making the 4,260 foot long crossing the most heavily traveled bridge in the nation, handling 235,000 vehicles each day.

The horsepower war is in top gear, and the Plymouth Fury hits 190mph, a production car record.

The Ford Fairlane and the Mercury Meteor are the first "intermediates".

Another autstanding concept car is created by Ford: the Seattle-Lite is a really good name for a concept car with an unbelieveble six-wheel chassis!

July 2: thirty-millionth Ford V-8 engine is produced.

Nov. 9: fire destroys Ford Rotunda. (Total visitor attendance since opening in Dearborn in 1936: 18,019,340).

Dodge briefly resurrects the DeSoto name, to supplement its line.

Chevrolet introduces its new concept car, the Mako Shark I, which is the forerunner to the future new Corvette.

Chevrolet introduces a new line of smaller cars, the Chevy II.

GM produces its 75,000,000th US-made vehicle (March 14 ).

The number of GM shareholders passes the 1,000,000.

The US Department of Justice, Antitrust Division, charges GM and three Chevrolet dealer trade associations in criminal and civil suits for violation of the Sherman Act by restricting sales of Chevrolets in the Los Angeles area through discount houses. In 1966, the US District Court for Southern California enters the final judgment enjoining GM from conspiring with any group or association of Chevrolet dealers to limit sales by such dealers or through discount houses or referral services.

Buick introduces the E-body based Riviera as a 1963 model.

Heaters and defrosters are standard equipment on Cadillac cars.

A new dual-circuit braking system is introduced on Cadillac cars.

Holden manufactures its one-millionth vehicle.

Ethyl Corporation is sold to Albemarle Paper Manufacturing Company.

We do provide duplicates of the multimedial files of the Collection on a customized DVD-ROM. (1)

Almost all the digital copies of the films are good quality Hi-Res editable videos.
Hundreds of hours of footage from this Collection are available in different format, size and definition. We can suggest you the right one for the use you have in mind.
PRIVATE USE: home TV vision (DVD-Divx player), PC, iPod.
WE LICENSE FOOTAGE from our Collections for: multimedial creations on CD or DVD, TV commercials, film or TV programs, documentary Productions, web sites, marketing/ad campaigns, video email, electronic kiosks, trade shows, business seminars, cultural events, museums, expositions... and more.
Hi-Res videos from our Collections are available on DVD, CD or directly in your inbox. Clips and movies can also be downloaded from our servers using a PW or uploaded by us to your FTP.
WE ARE JUST WAITING FOR YOUR INQUIRES!!!
