The Mercury Cougar, Chevrolet Camaro, and Pontiac Firebird join Mustang as "ponycars."
Motor Trend names the Cougar 1967 Car of the Year.
Ford merges its British and German subsidiaries into Ford-Europe. They begin working on the Fiesta, which will be assembled in Britain, German and Spain.
March, 8: Ford dedicates new Automotive Safety Research Center and Service Research Center.
June, 14: Ford of Europe is established to coordinate development manufacture and sale of cars and trucks in Europe and Africa.
September, 6: UAW launches Ford Motor Company-wide strike (ends Oct. 22).
GM produces its 100,000,000th US-made vehicle (April 21).
Changes in the organization and executive responsibilities of the GM are announced November 1. The Designation Operating Divisions is discontinued and divided into two groups: the Car and Truck, Body and Assembly, Automotive Components Group; and the Overseas, Canadian, Non-Automotive and Defense Group.

II 21 aprile la GM USA produce il suo 100milionesimo veicolo.
Il 14 giugno viene fondata la Ford-Europe. Dovra' occuparsi di cordinare lo sviluppo di nuovi stabilimenti e della vendita di auto e veicoli commerciali in Europa ed in Africa.
L'8 marzo la Ford inaugura i nuovi laboratori di ricerca Automotive Safety Research Center e Service Research Center.
Il 6 settembre la UAW promuove un nuovo sciopero generale dei dipendenti della Ford Motor Company che terminera' il 22 ottobre.
Il primo novembre vengono annunciati importanti cambiamenti nell'organizzazione e nelle responsabilita' a livello esecutivo della GM. Le attivita' della Designation Operating Divisions vengono sospese e divise in due gruppi: la Car and Truck, Body and Assembly, Automotive Components Group e la Overseas, Canadian, Non-Automotive and Defense Group.

A partially-animated, humorous short that illustrates how drinking alcohol can impair one's judgement when driving. Animation by Pat Oliphant
Dialogless short from the end of the 60ies about drinking and driving, produced by the state of Colorado. The live action follows a fellow leaving his place deep in the Rocky Mountains. As he crosses a particular hazard— a bridge, a tunnel, a river, railroad tracks— the action freezes and a short animated piece is done about a similar situation in history; a caveman drinking to cross a bridge, a Roman chariot drinking while hurrying home and going through an arch, a dandy on a pennyfarthing drinking and riding down a hill, and a jazz age fellow and his old car.
It's obvious from the tone that the idea was to serve more as a gentle reminder in that oh, so mellow end-of-the-60s fashion. The film ends with the fellow in the Jeep taking a drink before heading out on a busy highway.
Storiellina umoristica, parzialmente animata, che spiega come l'alcool interferisca sui riflessi rendendo estremamente rischiosa la guida.

The American Automobile Timeline 1899-1970 - Multimedial Historical Collection (Over 1200 files)
We do provide duplicates of the multimedial files of the Collection on a customized DVD-ROM on a (1) cost-recovery basis.
Almost all the digital copies of the films are good quality Hi-Res editable videos.
All the videos in this Collection are available in different format, size and definition. We can suggest you the right one for the use you have in mind.
PRIVATE USE: home TV vision (DVD-Divx player), PC, iPod.
WE LICENSE FOOTAGE from our Collections for: multimedial creations on CD or DVD, TV commercials, film or TV programs, documentary Productions, web sites, marketing/ad campaigns, video email, electronic kiosks, trade shows, business seminars, cultural events, museums, expositions... and more.
Hi-Res videos from our Collections are available on DVD, CD or directly in your inbox. Clips and movies can also be downloaded from our servers using a PW or uploaded by us to your FTP.

(1) It is possible to obtain digital duplicates of the multimedial files (movies, videos, audio documents, and Virtual Reality files) from Romano-Archives for research, teaching, general interest user information, and private study purposes.
The fees charged for these files are on a cost-recovery basis.
The size, run-time, quality, and detailed informations regarding any multimedial file are indicated in the list inside our demo-DVD, where you can find images and/or animated gifs illustrating any file, 10 demo-videos, 2 for every different quality class, and 10 samples regarding the other kind of multimedial files composing the collection.
The files are available on a customized DVD-ROM.
Billing is done when the order is fulfilled. Payment instructions will follow. Normal turn around time for requests is 3 weeks. Rush (2-3 business days) is available for an additional fee of 40 Euros. Romano-Archives will provide up to 250 (or about 20% of this Collection) multimedial files to a single requesting party.

I video in alta risoluzione delle nostre Collezioni sono disponibili su DVD, CD o direttamente via email. Film e video possono anche essere scaricati dai nostri server con una password o caricati da noi sul vostro FTP.
Tutti i video compresi in questa Collezione sono disponibili in differenti formati, dimensioni e livelli di risoluzione. Saremo lieti di suggerirvi il più adatto alle vostre esigenze: visione su TV (DVD-Divx player), PC o IPod.
