BIPED is a sort of new remixing-oriented sideproject set up by M.L. of I Burn/HPP/Typhoid: this debut release,"Assembler/Disablement/Report" is completely based on collaborations with some of the best artists today in the industrial/darkambient scene. In a few words, M.L/Biped has recorded a private, non-official yet full, actual master-cd, copies have ONLY been given to some selected artists, and all the artists have selected a track off the cd to entirely reconstruct it and reshape it via the addition of their personal sonic inputs, according to their own view of how each particular track should have been (re)done; the result is that the official version of the CD-R doesn't just feature music made by one single sound-shaper, but it consists of music bilaterally generated by Maurizio Landini togheter with each artist involved. Not a compilation, not a single project's debut Cd, but something that stands exactly in the middle, with its broad variety of sonic approaches, from pure chilling darkambient (Biped + Amon) to the fiercest distorted electronics (Biped + Cazzodio). And all that stands in the center of this spectrum.
