Jul 30, 2007 - First, make sure you have a sub-woofer connected to your PC. There is not such a big compromise on sound as picture here on YouTube. Then I can probably see where you're coming from having heard plenty of nice V-twins. However, in this segment the Rocket III is very special with its big triple engine and enormous performance. Nothing economy about the performance and feel of this bike! But I sort of agree about the engine noise (not to be confused with the exhaust note).

Feb 29, 2008 - 147lb ft of torque at a lazy 2,500rpm! Triumph claims that the Rocket 3 would out-accelerate a Yamaha R1 to 100mph and sprint from 0 to 60mph in just 2.8 seconds! The Rocket 3 produces more torque at idle than a Honda FireBlade at its 8,500rpm peak! Completely barking mad. I want one!
