Bilancio (provvisorio)
A
quelli che un tempo forse mi hanno amato
così
com'ero e non sono più,
agli
altri che chissà da quale parte
forse
mi amano per quello che ora sono
ma che
pure sforzandomi non riesco a vedere,
alle
cose che ho avuto e che ho perduto
e anche
a quelle che ho desiderato,
alla
mia bella carta intestata
che ora
mi serve solo ad arrischiare
versi
pesanti e forse inconcludenti,
alla
paura sempre più incalzante
di
guardarmi allo specchio la mattina,
ai miei
toscani
ogni
sera più duri da fumare,
agli
esami
che
comincio ogni notte senza mai superare,
e
soprattutto a te
che
ogni giorno mi spiani la salita
sorreggendomi quando sto per cadere
e che
mi guardi come in uno specchio
che non
riflette di me dubbi e rimpianti,
dedico
queste note discordanti
come da
dentro le sento riaffiorare.
Perdona
i miei vuoti di esistenza
questi
silenzi che non sanno parlare
e
soprattutto il grigio che diffondo
tanto
difficile - lo so - da sopportare.
Perdona
ogni promessa mia mancata
gli
scatti d'ira del resto ora più rari
le
indecisioni che sembrano pigrizia
l'accanimento cieco alle abitudini.
Perdona
tutti i sogni irrealizzati
volati
via dove non so raggiungerli
o più
semplicemente decomposti
in
incubi rancori ed ossessioni.
Perdona
le mie fughe solitarie
la
routine dove cerco rifugio
l'indifferenza che è solo un'apparenza
per
tutto quello che continui a darmi.
Non
così immaginavo i nostri giorni
né
questa vita io volevo offrirti
e non
avendo certo il tuo coraggio
rifiuto
la realtà che ci circonda.
Ma
chissà alla fine forse troverò la strada
grazie
a una luce che sconfigga il buio
e ti
prometto che se ciò accadrà
prima
di ogni altro tu sarai illuminata.

(Provisional) Balance
To those who once perhaps loved me
as I was and no longer am,
to the others who maybe somewhere
love me as I am now
whom even trying I cannot see,
to the things that I had and then I lost
and also to those whom I only wished,
to my nice headed paper
that now I use just to try
heavy and perhaps inconclusive verses,
to my fear increasingly insistent
to look at me in the mirror by daylight,
to my Toscano cigars
every evening more harder to smoking,
to my exams
that
I start each night never exceeding
and especially to you
who every day levels for me the climbs
supporting me when I am falling
and looking at me like at a mirror
which
don’t reflects of me doubts and regrets,
I dedicate these discordant notes
like I feel from my inside emerge them.
Forgive my empties of existence
these silences which cannot speak
and especially the gray that I spread round
so difficult - I know - to tolerate.
Forgive all mine broken promises
my
outbursts, moreover now more rare,
the indecisions that seem laziness
my blind perseverance for the habits.
Forgive all my unfilled dreams
flown away where I can’t reach them
or simply decomposed
into nightmares grudges and obsessions.
Forgive my solitary escapes
the routine into I take refuge
the indifference which is only apparent
for all that you are continuing to provide.
Not like these I thought our days
nor this life I wished offer you
and not having certainly your courage
I refuse the reality surrounding us.
But -who knows! - perhaps at the end I'll
find the way
thanks to a light which defeats the darkness
and I promise you that if it happens
before all you will be enlightened.
