Ninho è un “Maggiolone” modello 13 AS1 detto anche<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>1303S costruito negli stabilimenti
Volkswagen in Germania nel lontano 1974, ha un motore di 1600 (1584) cc siglato
AS, come vedete dalla foto è munito di tettuccio apribile e vetri posteriori
Pop-out, veri optional dell’epoca, mentre all’interno è equipaggiato con dei
sedili Porsche 924, il bello è che lo ho comprato proprio così come lo vedete,
era marciante e partì al primo giro di chiave nonostante fosse fermo da circa un
anno, lo ho pagai solamente 500.000 LIRE!!

Solo dopo l'intervento delle mani esperte di PEPPEMOTORI scoprimmo che il motore era un pò malconcio infatti:
le bronzine dell'albero motore erano consumate, entrambe le testate avevano delle crepe in prossimità della filettatura della candela
ed il termostato del raffreddamento era guasto.

Nonostante le sue condizioni di precarietà El Ninho riuscì a sopportare egregiamente il viaggio di trasferimento da Gorizia
sino a Roma, ben 1000 Km alla modesta velocità di 120 Km/h (considerando che ora con il motore nuovo tocca i 160 Km/h!!),
decisi di partire di sera e viaggiare con il fresco della notte per evitare il surriscaldamento del motore,
facemmo una tappa di due giorni in Toscana dove El Ninho ci scorrazzò per i tornanti sù per le montagne
della lucchesia e poi giù fino a Roma.
