Occultazioni planetarie
2008
Le occultazioni di stelle da parte dei pianeti comportano una notevole complessità nei calcoli di previsione. Si inizia col calcolare le coordinate astronomiche dei due corpi (stella e pianeta o satellite) che devono essere riferite allo stesso equinozio. Ciò significa che, siccome per i pianeti maggiori sono date l'ascensione retta ( a ) e la declinazione ( d ) apparenti riferite all'equinozio alla data, in tal caso occorre impiegare le coordinate apparenti anche per le stelle. Se invece a e d sono riferite ad un equinozio standard, quasi sempre J2000.0, (è il caso di Plutone) allora le coordinate della stella devono essere riferite al medesimo equinozio standard e per fare ciò occorre soltanto eseguire le correzioni per il moto proprio della stella.
Nel proseguo ho calcolato le occultazioni di stelle da parte dei pianeti per la città di Siena, e poi per l'intero globo durante un intero anno solare.
La Teoria del moto della Luna è la DE405 mentre il Catalogo stellare è il Tycho-2. I tempi di previsione sono forniti approssimati al decimo di minuto per cui i valori da assegnare alla quantità (TT-UT1) = DeltaT non sono critici.
Le circostanze generali e locali sono state ottenute col programma Occult nella versione 3-6-0.
