The pain of sense

Two evils is the sinner, when sins, God leaves the supreme good, and is given to creatures: "Two evil committed my people: they have forsaken me, the source of living water, and have dug cisterns, cracked cisterns that do not contain the "water". Why then the sinner turns to disgust with creatures of God, rightly in hell will be tormented by the same creatures, from the fire and demons, and this is the punishment of sense. But because it's more guiltier, where the sin is turning away from God, so the principal penalty which will be in hell will be worth the damage. What is the penalty of having lost God.

Consider first the pain of sense. It is faith that there is hell. What is this hell? It is the place of torment, so he called the man damned to hell (Luke 16th 28). Place of torment, where all the senses and the powers of the damned that they have their own torment, and as anyone in a sense have offended God, the more in that sense will have to be tormented. "As the pomp has been given, as to her date of torment" (Apoc. 18th 7). It will be tormented vision hill darkness. Dark place and covered by the haze of death. That compassion is the feeling that a poor man is trapped in a ditch while living in the dark, for 40-50 years of life! The hell pit is closed by all parties where there will never sunshine or other light. The fire which enlightens the earth, in hell will be all dark. "The voice of the Lord who molds tongues of fire". Says S. Basil II Lord divided the light from the fire, so this will only fire to burn the office, but not to illuminate, and explain more in a short Albert the Great: The same smoke that emerges from this fire, that composer PROCELL of darkness, mentioned by S. James, who accept the eyes of the damned. Says S. Thomas that the damned is reserved only so much light, enough to more punishment. They will see that glimmer of light the ugliness of the other wicked and evil ones, which will form horrible scaring.

It will be tormented smell. What penalty would be shut in a room with a corpse farced? "corpses rise from the stench" (Is 34th 3). This has to be damned in the midst of so many millions of other damned, alive to the punishment, but for the corpses that send stinks. St. Bonaventure says that if a body of had chased a damned of hell simply to die for all men stink. And then they say some crazy: If I go to hell, I am not alone. Miserable! As many are in hell, the more pennant.

More pennant (say) for the stink, the cries and the tightness, as will stay in hell one above the other, pile up like sheep in the winter time. Indeed most, will stay as grape juices under the winepress of God of Ira Since then it will be worth of the property. So as the damned in hell will fall in the final days, so will have to remain longer without changing the site and without being able to move more or a foot or a hand, for while God is God.

Hearing will be tormented with screaming plants and continue those poor desperate people. Demons! Noise will continue. What penalty is when you want to sleep and you hear a patient who complains constantly, a dog barking or a child who cries? Damned miserable, they have to hear again and again for all eternity the noise and the cries of those tormented! Throat will be tormented with hunger, will give a hungry dog. But will never have a crumb of bread. Then this will have a thirst, not enough that all the water of the sea, but do not have even a drop, a drop it asked the man, but this has not yet been, and will not ever, ever.

The punishment of the fire
The penalty that most torments of the damned sense, is the fire of hell, that haunts the touch. "Castagno meat will be fire and worms" (Sir 7.17). What therefore believe in the Lord makes special mention: "Go away from me, cursed into everlasting fire" (Mt. 41). Even in this land the penalty of the fire is the greatest of all, but there is so much difference to our fire of hell, that St. Augustine says that we seem i1 painting. E S. Vincent Ferreri says that in our comparison is cold. The reason is, because our focus is created for our profit, but the fire of hell is created by God to torment occurs. The wrath of God, turn this fire avenger. Then Isaiah from the fire of hell is called spirit ardor: "When the Lord shall have washed the ugliness (...) with the spirit of fire" (Is 4:4). The mandate will be damned not to fire but the fire: "Go away from me, cursed in eternal fire. "So the poor will be surrounded by fire, like a wood in a kiln. You will find the damned with an abyss of fire from below, above an abyss, an abyss of and around them. If it, if you see, if breath not touch, does not see it that breathes fire. Stand in the fire like fish in water.
But this fire is not only going around the damned, but also enters into its bowels to torment. His body will be all of fire, so burn inside the bowels of the abdomen, the heart inside the chest, the brains inside the head, the blood inside the veins, the marrow inside the bones every damned becomes in it a furnace of fire. Some may not suffer to walk away for a beat from the sun, being in a closed room with braziers, do not suffer a spark that waves from a candle, and then do not fear the fire which devours, as Isaiah says: "Who of us can stay at a fire?" (Isa. 33:14). Because a fair devours a kid, so the fires of hell devour the damned, devouring it, but do not ever die. Are you mad, says S. Peter Damian (talking to the dishonest), do you want your meat content, which will come a day when your dishonesty will all pitch in your bowels, which will be bigger and more tormenting the flame that will burn in hell.

Adds S. Jerome that this fire will bring with it all the torment and pain that you suffer in this land of pain and side, of the bowels, of nerves. In this fire, there will also be the punishment of the cold. But always mean that all the pains of this earth are a shadow, as Chrysostom says, a comparison of punishments of hell, "Pone lignum poses forum, quid, nisi umbra ad ill torment".

The powers also have their own torment. The damned will be tormented in his mind, remembering the time that he had in this life to be saved and spent for damages, and because it has received from God, and not if they wanted to serve, with much to think about the good he has lost, heaven and God, and that this loss there is no remedy. Will, in seeing that it has always denied everything that demand. The poor will never have anything that it wishes, and will always have everything that hates, to be his eternal punishment. Would emerge from the torment, and find peace, but will always be troubled, and will never have peace.

The pain of having lost God
But all these sentences are nothing compared to the punishment of the damage. Do not make hell the darkness, the stench, the screams and the fire and the punishment that hell is the pain of having lost God Says S. John Grisostomo: "If you say one thousand hells, do not say anything at that same pain." And adds S. Agugustin damned if I enjoyed the sight of God, "I do not feel any pain, and that hell would be changed into paradise." To understand something of this sentence, consider that if someone loses (for example) a gem, which was worth 100 scuds, feels great pain, but if this was worth 200 double penalty: if 400 more penalty. So what grows the value of the thing lost, the penalty is increasing. The damned well what was lost? An infinite well, which is God, says St. waves Thomas feels that a sentence in some sense infinite.
S. Ignatius of Loyola said: Sir, any penalty support, but no, the star without you But this sentence we learn nothing from sinners, which is content to live the months and years without God, because the poor live in the darkness . In death, however, does not have to know the great good that forgiveness. The soul out of this life, as S. Antonino, she now intends is created by God, order immediately rushed to hug to go with his greatest asset, but being in sin, God will Dissociate. If a dog sees the hare, and one keeps it with a chain, which makes force the dog romper for the chain and go to turn the prey? The soul separated from the body, is naturally drawn to God, but sin divides it from God, and sends it off to hell, "they dug a chasm between you and your God" (Isa. 59th 2). All hell then is that first word of the sentence:
David when Absalom condemned to no longer appear in front, that this was punishment for that Absalom said: Say to my father, or let me see his face or give me death (2nd Sam. 14th 24). Philip II to a stand that saw great irreverent in church, he said: I do not appear more in front. It was so much the pain of that great, which came to the house where they died of grief. What will be, when God in the death integer reprobate: Go away I do not want to see more. You (Jesus says to the damned in the final days) you are not mine, I no longer yours.

That penalty is for a child, to which the father dies, or a wife when her husband died, saying: My Father, my husband, I will not be seen anymore. Ah if we can stand hours damned soul that cries, and asked: Anima, why you crying about? This only she would reply: crying, because I lost God, and I never see more. At least the miserable in hell could love his God, and resigned to his will. But no, what if you could do, hell is not hell, and the unfortunate cannot be resigned to the will of God, because it's made an enemy of the divine will. It can love his God, but hates and hate forever, and this will be his hell, to know that God is a supreme good and then being forced to at the same time who knows him worthy d 'infinite love. The damned hate and curse God, curse God, curse the benefits that has made the creation, redemption, the sacraments, especially baptism and penance, and above all the SS. Sacrament of the altar. Hate all the angels and saints, but especially the holy guardian angel and his lawyers, and most of all the Divine Mother, but mostly curse the three divine Persons, and each of these the Son of God, who died a day for the her health, curse his wounds, his blood, his pains and his death.
