Alcatel USB Speedtouch 330 Firmware
I'm trying to get my alcatel USB Speedtouch 330 (green one) up and running in Ubuntu. Does such an action change somehing "in the modem" itself? Rewrite the modem EPROM or something? Or is it just something that changes on Ubuntu

In order to get my modem (USB speedtouch 330 Alcatel green) up and ready in Ubuntu, I've already tried some how-to's. None of them seem to work because I'm not able to use the "make"-command. "sudo make" results in command not found.

While installing under local settings menu select one which uses PPPoE type. Ie if you have purchased the modem from UK, then you select Eire settings which will install PPPoE then you can manually change the VPI VCI values. Viswam
