il fratello (forse gemello!) di Katun
raptor3.jpg (42320 bytes) A massive steel bird of prey was unleashed at Cedar Point in 1994. Raptor, an inverted roller coaster featuring ski lift-like seats with no floors, turns passengers upside down on the outside of its structure six times. This high-tech thriller is one of the highest rated new rides ever introduced at the Sandusky, Ohio, amusement park/resort.

Riders must be at least 54 inches tall to ride Raptor. Since its debut in 1994, Raptor has given more than 12.5 million rides.

Raptor is one of the tallest, fastest and steepest inverted coasters in the world. It  was the first inverted roller coaster to feature a "cobra roll" that flips passengers over, spirals them upside down into a 180-degree roll and repeats the twisting movement in the reverse order.  rideraptor1.gif (23413 bytes)
