MEREDINE ATOMICHE – The Holy Metal MCD (No Brain Records) Meredine Atomiche were a Metallica coverband (which toured native Northern Italy) and The Holy Metal is their latest recording. As is expected their sound is heavily influenced by the Bay Area and while a little underdeveloped (in particular the vocals), Meredine Atomiche are bursting with energy and style. Opener ‘War Or Peace’ and the clichéd title track are initially strong, but a song like ‘The Truth’ lacks direction and suffers from way too many ideas. A solid, but by no means fantastic release, Meredine Atomiche have shown a lot of potential here and I look forward to hearing more from them in the future. www.merendinatomiche.3000.it
