Orenstein & Koppel

This little train located near Villaverla town, in Vicenza province, in a nursery place. Side the Vicenza-Thiene road. The address is: Azienda Agricola "Arboretum", di Spiller Angelo, via Roma 60, Villaverla (VI), T +39-0444 85 55 58. The boss and the workers are very disposable, but, if you visit the place, please don't abuse them patience: remember that this is a work and not a tourist place. 
The loco is a Orestein & Koppel built in Sesto San Giovanni town, near Milan. Its number is 1186, type RL1N, gauge 600mm, mass 2.6 ton, build year circa 1942. The two wagon are built by Valente ( www.valente.it ), Milan.
The train was used, just '60 years to transport clay from the pits around Villaverla, to the brickyard, placed in Villaverla. 
At a distance of circa 2Km, in Isola Vicentina town, there is the LIMA factory of model railroad. Here there is a preserved EMU of Ferrovie e Tranvie Vicentine, esposed visible from the route.

Questo trenino è conservato presso un vivaio a Villaverla (VI), al margine della strada Vicenza-Thiene. L'indirizzo è: Azienda Agricola "Arboretum", di Spiller Angelo, via Roma 60, Villaverla (VI), T +39-0444 85 55 58. Il titolare e il personale sono estremamente gentili e disponibili a dare spiegazioni, però, se visitate il posto, tenete presente che è un posto di lavoro e non un museo, si prega quindi di non disturbare troppo. 
La locomotiva è marchiata Orestein & Koppel, ma è stata costruita in Italia a Sesto San Giovanni. Ha il numero 1186 Tipo RL1N, scartamento 600mm, massa 2.6ton, anno di costruzione 1942 (?). I due vagoni sono di produzione Valente ( www.valente.it ), Milano. 
Il treno era usato fino agli anni '60 per trasportare argilla dalle cave attorno Villaverla, fino alla fornace in paese.
A circa 2Km da qui c'è la fabbrica della LIMA con esposta una elettromotrice delle Ferrovie e Tranvie Vicentine, visibile anche dalla strada.
