Bexus 6 comes back to Esrange (10th October 2008) On 10th October, Bexus 6 comes back to Esrange. The gondola was not damaged thanks to the soft landing and also our experiment was in perfect conditions.
Bexus 6 recovery (9th October 2008) Bexus 6 was successfully recovered in Finland.
Bexus 6 successfully launched (8th October 2008) On 8th October 2008, Bexus 6 was successfully launched from Esrange at 7:10 UTC. After a flight lasted about 3 hours, the balloon landed somewhere in Finland, just across the Finnish border.
Bexus 6 launch rescheduled (6th October 2008) After two "Decision Meeting" held this morning (7:30 and 10:00), the launch of Bexus 6 has been rescheduled to Wed 8th October 2008 (early morning), due to bad weather condition. A launch rehearsal will be held today. The next "Decision Meeting" will be Tue 7th October 2008 at 7:30 to discuss about a possible launch window on Tue 7th October 2008. However it is not likely to have the launch tomorrow as strong winds are expected.
RF interference test (5th October 2008, 15:00) RF interference test with all the experiments and Bexus avionics switched on we did together with Esrange personell to check any interference between experiments and/or avionics.
Experiment integration on the Bexus 6 gondola (4th October 2008) Esrange personell had already prepared our slot on the Bexus 6 gondola, making integration simple and straightforward.
E-link telemetry test (4th October 2008, 15:30) Test of telemetry and telecommand of our experiment through E-link telemetry system.
Magnetometers test on the launch field (4th October 2008, 10:30) Magnetometers testing in the middle of the magnetic anomaly of Kiruna! :)
Long-run test (3rd-4th October 2008) The first test we have done once we arrived at Esrange has been a overnight long-run test to check all LowCoINS functionality. The next morning we have done a full memory dump and checked the telemetry recorded overnight.
