Giancarlo Norese, the artist garden archives in the folly in Villa Medicis, Rome, June 21st, 2000: La Ville, le Jardin, la Mémoire
I
proposed to be hosted as a resident in the Villa, and to be told what
I could do for them. They said my job was the organization of the
Folie garden archives.
I wrote 20 letters per day, collecting contributions from artists who
worked with gardens. All this information has been placed in the
Folie in the Bosco: inside the greenhouse designed by A-12 group; in
the plastic tunnel by Stalker; in the website
by Udo Noll; and in most of the pages of the exhibition
catalogue.
