The Center serves as the headquarters for the Ohio Historical Society and is the flagship museum of the Societys network of 60
Big changes are in store at the Ohio Historical Center in 2006 as the Ohio Historical Society begins a to transform the entire museum floor to create richer experiences for visitors
The first change involves the closing of The First Ohioans archaeological exhibit, which opened in 1986 and will close on March 27, 2006
This summer, many of the artifacts in The First Ohioans, as well as several archaeological items not previously displayed, will be re-installed in other parts of the museum
