Lakshan Bibi, the Chairperson of the KISP, is a renowned, dedicated &
devoted volunteer social worker of Kalash community. She remained engaged
and associated in running different NGOs working for the betterment of
Kalash. At various occasions due to her personal efforts she purchased and
distributed blankets, clothes, water tanks and extended full help in getting
medical treatment in big hospitals to the poor community of the area.
Miss Lakshan belongs to Kalash. She is the first educated lady from that
area. She accomplished her basic education from Kalash and Chitral. Later
she went to Afghanistan for medicine studies but due to political
disturbances she returned to Pakistan.
She joined Peshawar Flying Club for Commercial Pilot’ s Training. Due to her
innate qualities and energetic nature she graduated in record time and
obtained Private Pilot’ s License, Commercial Pilot’ s License and
Instrument Rating issued by the Civil Aviation Authority, Pakistan.
Due to her status and position, people from Kalash have great expectations
and consider her to be their saver from all problems.
All the member of the organization expressed full confidence on her talents
and potential and elected her chairperson.
She has a keen desire and belief to preserve Kalash culture.
