This Isola Tiberina which
lies in the middle of Tevere river in Rome: natural ford, it was essential
to the erection of permanent installations on the surrounding heights.
It is connected to the banks by Fabricio and Cestio bridges.
Cult place for various gods, it was mainly dedicated to Medicine God
Esculapio.
