I think 523 sq ft studios starting at 220K is a bit ambitious. The layouts are definately interesting, but units tend to be small. (4 out of the 10 units per floor are under 720 sq ft). Those angled balconies are somewhat useless as

Agree Jake. However,they should have offset the building more from the Loft building to the east. Sadly it looks much better than the CMK garbage on S. Michigan Avenue

It's a solid design and it's certainly "bold" relative to the low bar that has been set in the South Loop, ie Marquee Michigan Ave, Michigan Ave Towers, "Vision", etc. I think this will be a great addition to the neighborhood.

If the renderings are correct, it will be quite spectacularly lit at night. Both the base and the top will have a nice glassy glow. This will help distract from the fact that it is a tower on a podium
