·       shu = "protect", "obey" — traditional wisdom — learning fundamentals, techniques, heuristics;

·     Hitotsu, jinkaku kanseini tsutomuru koto (人格完成に努むること) - constantly try to commit.

·     Hitotsu, makoto no michi or mamoru koto (誠の道を守ること) - try to be fair and honest.

·     Hitotsu, doryoku no seishin or yashinau koto (努力の精神を養うこと)- we must try to engage with diligent perseverance.

·      Hitotsu, reigi or omonzuru koto (礼儀を重んずること) - we must try to act with respect and courtesy.
