| Tuckahoe State Park Tuckahoe Creek, a quiet country stream bordered for most of its length by wooded marshlands, runs through the length of the park
The park offers 20 miles of scenic hiking, biking and equestrian trails, flat water canoeing, hunting, picnicking, as well as a recycled tire playground for children
The park offers activities and special events on a seasonal basis
Features: Camping: The park offers a family camping area with 51 sites, 33 with electric hookups, and a central bathhouse
The park also offers a youth group camping area with four sites, each site accommodating up to 30 people
Picnicking/Shelters: The park has two picnic areas, each offering shaded sites with picnic tables, charcoal grills and playground equipment
Arboretum: The Adkins Arboretum encompasses 500 acres of park land and almost three miles of surfaced walkways leading through the tagged native species of trees and shrubs
Pets: Pets are allowed in the family camping area and most of the park, except the lake area, as long as they remain on a leash

Horsetooth Mountain Park offers over 29 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, or horseback riding
Parking is available at two locations: the Horsetooth Mountain Park trailhead parking area, immediately off CR 38 E approximately 5 - 6 miles west of the intersection of Harmony and Taft Hill in Fort Collins, and the Soderberg Open Space trailhead parking area, accessed by following signs to Inlet Bay off of Shoreline Drive
This is a very popular open space, so if you should arrive and find the parking lot full you will know that the trails are at maximum capacity
Please consider one of our open spaces, such as Devil's Backbone Open Space or Rimrock Open Space for your outdoor enjoyment that day, and come back to Horsetooth Mountain Park another time

Amicalola Falls The winter and early spring are the best time to view the falls, although they are impressive year-round After a quick stop at Burt's Pumpkin Farm, it's across the street to the entrance of the park
We turn left on the Amicalola Falls Lodge Road which begins climbing immediately and a steep mile later the upper falls parking is to the right
The road follows the ridge line past this parking to the 57-room Amicalola Lodge
Parking on the west side of the falls is limited, however, an expansive overflow parking area is available on the east side
